The Rev. Milton Broomfield is a native of Melbourne, Florida. He is also a graduate of Edward Waters College in Jacksonville Florida, obtaining a B.S. Degree in Business Administration. He accepted his call to ministry while a member of Greater Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in Melbourne under the pastorate of the late Rev. James Grisby. Feeling a desire to further his education, he matriculated at Turner Theological Seminary at the ITC in Atlanta, GA. He received his Master of Divinity Degree in 1994. Shortly after receiving his Master of Divinity Degree, he received his first assignment as acting Pastor at Bethel A.M.E. Church in South Bay, FL. He later received an appointment to Allen A.M.E. in Wabasso, FL. He served as pastor at Mt. Zion A.M.E.C., Sebring, St. Paul A.M.E.C., St. Paul A.M.E.C., Delray Beach, Greater Bethel A.M.E.C., Miami, and Payne Chapel A.M.E.C., West Palm Beach.
At the 123rdsession of the South Annual Conference Bishop Adam Jefferson Richardson elevated him to Presiding Elder of the Super South District of South Annual Conference. He served the South District for 6 years before being transferred to the Dynamic Daytona Beach District of the Central Annual Conference. In 2021, Bishop Frank Madison Reid, III, assigned Broomfield to the Outstanding Orlando District also in the Central Annual Conference.
Other positions Presiding Elder Broomfield served in were South Conference Finance Chairman, District Finance Chairman, District Chairman of Board of Examiners and Member of the South Conference Board of Examiners. He also served as Vice Chairman of the South Conference Board of Trustees. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Phi Fraternity Inc. as well as the Masonic Lodge.
Presiding Elder Broomfield is married to Ronda Broomfield of Jacksonville, Florida who is also a graduate of Edward Waters College where the two of them met and later got married in holy matrimony. From this union came two beautiful daughters Makeya and Antoinette. Presiding Elder Broomfield and Consultant Broomfield are the proud grandparents of three wonderful grandchildren: Fabion, Mytice and Rikhari.
